Hello 👋 I’m the Mom behind Sun Tot! 🌞

My husband and I were both born in East Texas, but we moved to Dallas at a young age with our families. We actually attended many of the same schools growing up and lived in the same neighborhood, but never knew each other. Ten years ago, kismet fate brought us together, and we’ve been building our life together ever since.

After living in downtown Dallas, we started a successful outdoor urban market that we still operate today. But after having our first daughter, we found ourselves longing to get back to our roots and to move somewhere a little quieter to raise our family. That brought us back to East Texas and, eventually, to the Lindale area.

Once we settled in, we quickly realized how limited the kid-friendly activities can be, especially when you add in that unpredictable Texas weather! With the help from my husband, parents and our very own sweet Sun Tots we put pen to paper and got to work. We wanted to create something that we felt was missing, something magical—a place where parents could gather, grab a great cup of coffee, some healthy food, meet other families, and actually enjoy themselves while their children have the freedom to simply be children.

I’ve spent much of my adult life teaching and nannying and now having babies of my own, so creating a space centered around children, imagination, learning, and play has always felt incredibly natural to me. Sun Tot started as a little idea born out of our own experience as parents, but it has grown into something we’re so excited to share with the community.

Our hope is that Sun Tot becomes more than just a place to play. We want it to feel like a little community—a place to make memories, meet friends, enjoy a coffee, and give your kids a childhood filled with creativity, curiosity, and lots of fun.
